Being the full-time care giver for our children presents unique challenges. Full-time parenting groups in our area are mostly, if not exclusively, moms. We need a group where dads aren't the minority. This group gives an opportunity to share and talk about the unique challenges of being a dad. Kids of all ages are welcome. We hold weekly playgroups, primarily Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon. as more members join and interest grows, we'll add additional playgroups at other times throughout …
Dads with all aged kids are welcome. It's time to show the kids how dads do playtime. I'm thinking miniature golf, soccer, maybe a paddle boat race at Shelly Lake, a few trips to some museums or the zoo, hiking a few nature trails, or setting up our tents for camping. This is not a self-help group. This is a group for dads that want to get out and do something active with their kids.

Over Thanksgiving, I went to a coffee house chess club that my dad runs in Ohio. It was an amazing experience--people of all ages and skill levels observing, talking about, giving impromptu lessons in and playing chess. The social energy at a club like this creates an environment where we can improve our chess skills in a way that is often more difficult (and less fun) in an online-only practice. This is a very welcoming group, and anyone who likes to play chess is invited. Ideally, this grou …

Our membership consists mostly of kids from birth to 5 years, so we're not …

Do they HAVE to burn off energy outside or in some physical way or they will literally be climbing the walls and furniture at home? Can your child commit to a tantrum for an hour or more? Does your child have trouble with too much light or noise or people etc? Does your child pick up on every little emotion going on in your house …
